MEMBERS of Wyre Forest Company of Archers were in fine form at Stourbridge’s Rat’s Ashes tournament.

Contestants had to shoot an American round of two-and-a-half dozen arrows at 60, 50 and 40 yards.

The outstanding performance came from Lyndsey Brazier, whose score of 792, which included 81 golds, in the ladies’ compound beat the best of the men’s scores.

There was a bronze medal for Dave Brazier in the gents’ compound as he just edged Scott Potter, both scoring 788 including 79 golds with Richard Maw just behind on 784 and 77 golds.

There was a silver medal for Melissa Smallman in the ladies’ recurve with a score of 734 including 56 golds and a third class award for Sheila Jakeman who scored 557 with 16 golds.

There was also a first class award for Daniel Finn in the gents’ recurve with a score of 714 and 50 golds.
