UNHAPPY Kidderminster Harriers boss John Eustace labelled hot-headed Ashley Carter as 'stupid' following his sending-off against Stalybridge Celtic last Saturday.

Carter was given his marching orders early in the second half after squaring up to Celtic's Aaron Chalmers .

The incident left manager Eustace distinctly unimpressed and he said: "Ashley was very stupid. He reacted in completely the wrong way and let himself and everybody else down.

"We've had a word with him since and he is desperately sorry for his actions."

Carter has since been handed a three match ban as result of his reaction and he misses Saturday's trip to Boston and the August Bank Holiday Monday clash at home to Altrincham.

Thankfully Harriers were 2-1 up at the time of Carter's indiscretion thanks to goals from Mani Dieseruvwe and Tyrone Williams and managed to hold out following a late Celtic onslaught.

It leaves Harriers with 10 points from their first five games and Eustace confirmed: "I'm happy with the start we've made because we're still a work in progress. It's a new start for everyone on the back of last season's relegation and although the squad is extremely young, I'm happy with the way things are progressing.

"Boston will prove a particularly tough trip especially as they were in the play-offs last season and they are sure to provide us with a severe test."

In the meantime Harriers are already busy as they prepare to host the England Under-20's against Brazil on Sunday, September 4 starting at 2-30pm.

Tickets have already been selling like hot cakes and Harriers secretary Matt Paddock said: "it would be great if we could try and fill the ground.

"We've already hosted England Under-18's and Under-19's, so we're hoping this game could prove to be a natural progression and the more support we can get for the game would only enhance our chances of hosting further games.

"It's a real feather in our cap that we've been chosen to host this game because it helps to show off how well Aggborough is looking at the moment."

The match, which is also being broadcast live on BT Sport is proving a hit with over 2,500 tickets already sold.

Tickets cost just £3 adults and £1-50 for youngsters which can be obtained online or through the club shop.
