MOEEN Ali has been included in England's One-Day International and IT20 squads for the matches in India next month.

The Worcestershire all-rounder and his England team-mates will return home for the festive season at the completion of the five-match Test series against India.

But the 29-year-old will return early in the New Year for two 50-over warm-up fixtures against India A in Mumbai ahead of the three ODIs and three IT20s.

Moeen has featured in 46 ODIs and 19 IT20s since making his England debut in the West Indies nearly three years ago.

Eoin Morgan will return to captain England in both series.

The 30-year-old is joined in both squads by Alex Hales.

Both players return to the international set-up for the first time since the end of the English domestic season.

Joe Root returns to the squad after being rested for England’s ODI series victory over Bangladesh in October Ben Duckett, Steven Finn and James Vince all miss out on selection.

The ODI opener will take place on Sunday January 15 in Pune.
