THE first weekend of swimming's Worcester County Championships saw Wyre Forest swimmers head to Wolverhampton for the over 25 events.
Six swimmers took part from the club, the biggest contingent from any club in Worcestershire and they came away with a host of medals.
Laura Jones (25/34 yrs), Kae Neudstadt (35/44 yrs), Steve Moss (35/44 yrs) and Martin Sloan (55/64 yrs) all won gold while Tracey Moore (45/54 yrs) and Dave McMahon (55/64 yrs) both collected silver.
Among the long distance swimmers, Jack O’Connell took the bronze in the boys 1500m freestyle with Jeremy Summers finishing fifth in their respective age groups.
Emma Elwell came fifth and Abbie Rowley came seven in the girls 800m freestyle in the girls 16 and over age group.
