WYRE Forest Phoenix ladies moved to third in the Midwest County Women's Football League after demolishing Hay St Mary's by 14 goals to nil.

Chelsea Mudge was awarded player of the match after bagging five, Lisa Preece and Kathryn Bayliss both got hat-tricks, Sadie Brown scored twice and Kirsten Oliver registered her first of the season.

The ladies now face two tough games as they travel to second place Hereford this week then are at home to league leaders Kidderminster Harriers.

Phoenix u13s dominated an away game against Droitwich Spa Robins which was played on a sodden pitch after heavy overnight rain. Good passing and movement enabled the Wyre Forest Club to score four unanswered goals by half time.

Despite a Droitwich goal after the restart Phoenix continued their goal rush and won the match 10-2, the club's scorers were Jasmine Whitmore (5), Lauren Snyed (2), Jess Price (2) and Elise Hughes (1).

Lauren Snyed was player of the match for her excellent effort in midfield and her first goals in the club.
