COOKLEY dedicated the first game of the league season to the memory of teammate Andy Gorol who died last year at just 37-years-old.

Promoted Feckenham were invited to bat first and were soon in trouble Worcestershire over 50s captain Gary Mills struck with the second ball of the game.

There were three wickets for returning Aussie Jack McVey, Danny Soley and also Jaimen Rudd with some deceptive left arm spin.

The homw side knocked off the required total for just three wickets with Jaimen Rudd (63) and Jat Dhadwal (38) amongst the runs.

Cookley welcome Pedmore to Lea Lane next Saturday.

Cookley second XI 180-3 (20pts), Enville second XI 179 all out (3pts)

Enville were asked to bat first and posted 179 with Mike Wood and Charlie Pestridge taking three wickets each.

Cookley made a disastrous reply with Bailey England out second ball but a superb 87 not out by skipper Dan Southam ably supported by veteran John Martin, who scored 55, ensured a comfortable victory.
