THERE were several successes for Wyre Forest CRC riders over the weekend in circuit races at Shrewsbury and Stourport.

The outstanding performance came from Vicki Boddice, whose second place in her category gave her enough points in a mixed category race to secure her third category racing licence.

Since taking up cycle racing less than two years ago, Vicki progressed to a fourth category rider in her first year and now after a hard winter of training she has achieved her 2017 target of a third cat licence. Second category rider Leah Ball finished second overall in the same race.

Other successes included a double victory for King Charles High School pupil Kinga Ingram in the under-14 girls races at both venues, with club-mate Aimee Lane second at Stourport while there was also a second place finish for Posie Forrester in the under-12 girls and third place finishes for Caitlin Pridden in the under-eight girls and Erin Boddice in the under-16 girls.

In the boys races, Max Hinds took a win at Shrewsbury from Felix Forrester in third place and a second place finish at Stourport in the under-10 age category.
