WORCESTERSHIRE wicketkeeper Alex Milton has continued his prolific form with the bat this season for Cardiff in the South Wales Premier League.

Milton hit his fourth century of the season for Cardiff in a 153-run success over Penarth.

He opened and carried his bat through the 50 overs for 117 not out from 140 balls with eight boundaries.

Milton has amassed 669 runs in nine league innings at an average of 111.50.

He is the league’s leading run-getter in 2017 with other scores including 115, 139, 102 not out, 56, 67 and 60.

Milton shared in partnerships of 168 with Kiran Carlson (88) and 85 with Connor Brown (62).

Cardiff totalled 319-5 and then dismissed Penarth for 166 after the first four wickets tumbled for 15 runs.

Victory maintained Cardiff’s leadership of the Premier League on 145 points, seven more than reigning champions Newport.

Milton is available to play for Worcestershire for the rest of the season after completing commitments with Cardiff MCCU and was part of the second XI in T20 action against Durham today.
