GEORGE Rhodes was among the wickets as title-chasing Onslow beat hosts Hutt District by 100 runs in New Zealand's Ewen Chatfield Trophy.

The Worcestershire all-rounder made inroads into the middle order with wickets in successive overs.

Rhodes then accounted for the last man as Hutt were bowled out for 167.

He finished with 8.5-1-38-3 as Onslow won comfortably. Rhodes was stumped for a single as his side totalled 267-9 in 50 overs.

He has scored 350 at an average of 43.75 — the fourth highest tally by any player in the competition.

Josh Dell finished on the losing side in successive matches for Midland-Guildford in Western Australia Cricket Association grade two.

Dell top-scored with 37 runs off 69 balls, including seven fours, against Melville as his side were bowled out for 106 in reply to 185.

He then made 15 of Midland-Guildford’s 165 all out which Rockingham-Mandurah overhauled for the loss of three wickets.

Charlie Morris’ side Tuggeranong Valley lost by 51 runs on day two of the McDonald’s ACT Premier Cricket first grade match against Eastlake.

Morris returned 19-4-52-1 as Eastlake made 280-9 on day one but his side were bowled out for 229 in 73 overs on the second day.
