GOALS from Lorna Symonds, Sophie Thompson and Claire Pearson handed Stourport Ladies Hockey Club victory over Isca.

The club's first XI won 3-2 at Stourport Astro Pitches last Saturday as they continue to enjoy a good campaign in National League West for their 40th anniversary season.

Playing in a snowstorm that would see their Sunday fixture against Bath Buccs called off, the home side went one down to an Isca goal within the first five minutes.

Stourport stayed strong though and replied through Symonds.

The home side built on that strike and followed it up with a second goal from Thompson to take a lead into the break.

They extended their lead in the second period through Pearson before Isca battled back to 3-2.

After several snow breaks, the final whistle blew to see Stourport return to second in the division on goal difference from Trojans.
