COOKLEY Cricket Club's disappointing season continued with a trio of heavy defeats at the weekend.

In Worcestershire County League Division One first XI Cookley made 152 all out in reply to bottom side Burghill's massive 326-6.

Coombs Wood's seconds put Cookley seconds to the sword by smashing 346-5, the hosts scored 223-8 in reply.

Al Roden (85) and Ash Rhodes (47) were the pick of the Cookley batsmen.

Cookley's third XI fared no better at Chaddesley Corbett where they won the toss, elected to bat and were dismissed for 114.

Chaddeley's thirds made short work of chasing down the target, reaching 118-1 in 17 overs.

3rds were thrashed by nine wickets. They drop to 6th. Mark Hadley playing his first game for seven years with 47 not out.
