KIDDERMINSTER'S game at Chester tonight (Tuesday, August 14) has been postponed after the hosts' stadium was hit with water damage.

Harriers had been due to visit Chester for the second away game of the National League North season, but the Swansway Chester Stadium has sustained substantial damage during a storm over the weekend, leaving it unfit to safely stage the match.

A statement issued by Chester said: “We can regrettably inform supporters that our home fixture scheduled to take place on Tuesday 14th August against Kidderminster Harriers has been postponed.

“Following assessment today and consultation with the National League and Kidderminster Harriers the decision to postpone the match was made to ensure the safety of all those who would be in attendance.

"We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.”

The game will now be played next week instead and has been re-arranged for Tuesday, August 21.

Any supporters with away travel not able to make the new date can contact the club for a refund.
