NEIL MacFarlane praised his side's attacking threat after Harriers bagged their first win of the season.

Kidderminster beat 10-man Darlington 5-2 thanks to goals from Joe Ironside (2), Declan Weeks, Fraser Horsfall and Ed Williams.

The boss said: "I'm really delighted for the group. They've been sensational since I took the job in terms of their application and I think we've deserved that win today.

"We got the game plan absolutely spot on in the first half. We took the game to them.

"We know, after I'd been there on Wednesday night to see them, that they're a real threat with their attacking element and we really nullified that in the first half.

"Even though the sending off came for them this week, I though we really pressed it home.

"We have standards and we want to keep pushing all the time. We're a real exciting side going forwards but we have to keep nullifying and improving those moments that give opportunities to the opposition. But in general I thought we were fantastic today.

"We managed the game great and I thought our ball retention was superb.

"We worked this week on shortening our passes and simplifying it and did some really good work. Not just that, when we had the opportunity to go forward we created so many chances.

"We are a really exciting side going forward and hopefully we'll keep improving. That's the key, we must keep improving."
