KIDDERMINSTER Harriers Ladies were in seven-heaven as they walloped Headless Cross 7-0 to book a quarter-final place in the County Cup on Sunday.

Harriers started strongly and piled the pressure on their opponents from Redditch and made the breakthrough, when Giverny Porter headed in Nikki Palmer's long throw-in.

The ladies had to wait for the goal-glut, but when Lisa Stokes made it 2-0 in the 49th minute the floodgates opened and Harriers ran riot.

Palmer ghosted past five players before smashing home the third goal and Toni DiPaolo made it 4-0, when she flicked the ball beyond the keeper with the outside of her boot. Porter grabbed the fifth goal and captain Emma Bowdler made it 6-0 in the 81st minute.

Harriers completed the scoring in the 85th minute when Palmer beat the opposition keeper with a fierce 20-yard effort.

Kidderminster resume action in the West Midlands Regional League at home to Stoke City on Sunday (2pm kick-off).

Ferndale Ladies also enjoyed success in the cup when they hammered Worcester based side KGV 10-3.

n Tracy Hancock got the ball rolling in the third minute and Sarah Hayden (2), Tracy Haycock (2), Danni Morris, Stacy Whitall and Hayley Watkiss were on target.

n Ferndale youth under-11s defeated Peopleton Girls 3-0, with Georgia Lambert (2) and Ella Skura hit the back of the net.
