WHARTON Park GC's girls taster sessions were hailed a huge success.

Dozens of girls aged between six and 12-years-old attended the sessions, which were set up to encourage them into golf.

They were introduced to the sport by the Bewdley club's professional, Angus Hoare, and assistant Steve Shilton.

Junior girls organiser Angela Collip said: "The taster sessions were a huge success, we had nearly fifty girls attend and they really enjoyed themselves."

The club are holding free women's taster sessions on Tuesday, April 8 in a bid to entice more into the sport.

The sessions start at 9am and will be conducted by Hoare. Anyone interested can call the club on 01299 405163.
