Stourport Swifts 1, Sutton Coldfield Town 1
FOR the second week running Stourport produced a battling display to force a draw against a side with promotion aspirations.
And it was the home side that struck first when in-form forward Richard Burgess followed up his strike against last week's visitors Chesham with a ninth minute opener.
Sutton came back strongly though and had a good chance to level midway through the half when Nathan Moran sent an effort just the wrong side of the post.
The equaliser came on 52 minutes, Jimmy Quiggin turning the ball into the net after he was picked out by Matt Jackson's left wing cross.
The Swifts defence were by far the busier and managed to keep the visitors at bay for long periods while keeper Chris Jay also pulled off some vital saves.
And when Sutton did find a way through, the woodwork and offside flag came to Stourport's rescue as Moran had an effort ruled out as he tucked away the loose ball after a Quiggin shot that had hit the post.
