Students pass well

STUDENTS from Samurai Judo Club passed their belt grading with flying colours.

Novices Lucy Owen and Oliver Dobbins were upgraded to red belt with one tag, while Joe Clifford, Ben Jordan, Bethan Owen, Olivia Richardson and Raphael Jezukiewicz all went to red belt with two tags.

Tom Richardson, Jamie Preston, Jimmy Watson, Elise White, Tyler Puplett and Alistair Howard all obtained their top red belts.

Amongst the already graded players, Tommy Palfreyman, Ellie Griffiths and Ciara Murphy were promoted to red belt with two tags.

Yellow belts Aston Evans, Hayden Clarke, Andrew Woodall, Elliot Murphy, Bryony Griffiths, Chloe Bustin and George Leverton were all upgraded to middle yellow level, while Ryan Humphrie and Katie Griffiths, the two outstanding players, both went to top yellow.

In the seniors, Kate Walker and Kelly Edwards, having returned from the British Olympic Association high altitude training camp in Austria, are now in Japan for two weeks training in Tokyo.
