Danvers stars in Blakedown

ATHLETICS: Kidderminster and Stourport AC member Ben Danvers was the star of the show in the Blakedown Bolt.

Danvers led the race home in a time of 38 minutes and and 56 seconds.

Michael Francis was second home for the club in an impressive 16th place with a time of 46-16, just in front of the ever-improving veteran Stuart Granger, who finished in 20th place in 46-33.

Mark Hawkins crossed the finish line in 49-25mins, followed by Steven Donkin (51-34) in 69th place, who was just a head of the club’s second lady finisher Hilary Crook, who won the over-45s veterans section in 51-41.

Pat Fletcher was the third women from the club to finish in 58-35, followed home by veteran over- 50s runner John Gibb in 59-05 and over-60s runner Ron Gough in 70-56.
