GIRLS and women got a chance to demonstrate their football skills at Ferndale FC’s third annual open day at Wolverley Playing Fields on Saturday.
Over 300 visitors watched the club’s mini-kickers teams take on Droitwich, while five under-11s and 12s teams from the area also battled it out.
Between games the visitors were able to enjoy face painting, the tombola, lucky dip, barbecue, a penalty shoot out and could soak the managers in the stocks.
Anyone who would like to join a team can find out more about the club by visiting www.ferndalegirlsfootball.moonfruit.com or by calling director of girls’ football Paul Lacey on 01562 754589.
