GOLF ROUND-UP

BEWDLEY PINES: The men’s club captain, George Curtis, won the club championship with a gross 74 and 74 (148). Runner-up was Roy Stevens with 79 and 74 (153), and Luke John was third with with 79 and 77 (156).

The best nett was Richard Young with 69 and 66, and he was followed home by Dave Carnell (69 and 68). The best nett on Sunday was Ben Houghton with 65.

The junior club champion is Scott Wilson with a gross 78 and 73 (151). Second was Graig Jones with 78 and 80 (158) and third was Fraser Hall with 74 and 86 (160).

The winner of the best nett over the two days was Lloyd Wager with 128. Scott Lane (130) and EmilyHyde (132) were second and third.

Senior Captain’s Day played as a Betterball Stableford was won by Ego Schurmacher and Stan Hooper with 47 pts, ahead of Jack Kerrigan and Hugh Creamer (46) and Mick Price and Trevor Eccleshall (46). The competition for nearest the pin on the 18th was won by Dave Dalton.
