ATHLETICS: Runners from Kidderminster and Stourport AC competed in the final round of the Mid-Week series in Halesowen.

Martin Willmot was the the first to finish for the club, recording a time of 35 minutes and 45 seconds to come 35th.

He was closely followed by Jacqui Phillips, who once again was first in the veterans 40s age section in a time of 35-55.

Chris Auger set a time of 39-56 to finish 61st, followed by Dave Vale (40-42) in 69th place.

Pat Fletcher won the veterans 45 category in an impressive time of 42-08 and finished 76th overall, with Caroline Cresswell (43-02) just behind in 79th.

Super-veteran Roger Russell came in next in 43-09 and 81st position, while Rachel Heath finished in 47-39, just pipping Kate Lewis (48-19).

Overall, Rob Chzran won the over-50s veterans series, while Phillips topped the standings in the veterans over-40 ladies.

Pat Fletcher was won the veterans over-45s group.

Martin Davies finished the Machen 10 kilometre Fell run in a time of 46-30 over the weekend, coming in ninth place.

Kidderminster runner Tom Kenderine set a time of 42-15 to come third.

In the Merthyr Tydfil 10km event, Davies finished 12th last week after completing the course in 38-20.
