RUGBY UNION: Kidderminster Carolians stepped up their pre-season preparations with a 36-31 win over Pershore in a friendly game on Saturday.
KCS scored six tries to home side Pershore’s five in an entertaining game.
Early in the second half KCs were leading comfortably 24-7, but Pershore recovered to draw level, before the visitors ran in two more tries.
Try scorers were Craig Wilkinson (2), Alex Baldwin, Tom Scandrett, Tom Maher and coach Dave Irish. Scandrett also kicked three conversions.
KCs play their final friendly at Stourbridge on Saturday, before starting the Midlands Division Three West (South) away at Old Coventrians on Saturday, September 13.
