WOMEN’S FOOTBALL: Kidderminster Harriers Ladies progressed into the semi-finals of the Worcestershire FA County Cup after beating holders Hereford Phoenix 4-2 on Sunday.
The ladies were trailing to an early goal but first half strikes by Laura Donnelly and Emma Bowdler, from the penalty spot, put Harriers ahead.
Hereford levelled the scores at the start of the second half but then found keeper Rachel Baldwin in good form.
Substitute Maddie Owen fired Harriers back into the lead, before Donnelly wrapped up a fine performance with her second goal of the game.
Harriers return to action in the West Midlands League Premier Division at Solihull on Sunday (2pm kick-off).
Ferndale under-13s got the better of Billbrook 3-1, with Mel Zaffino bagging a hat-trick.
