BLACK Boy Hotel scored their first win in two seasons and lifted themselves off the bottom of the Hire It Wribbenhall Darts League on Friday by defeating Rising Sun.

Hoteliers captain Dave Muckian saw his team play some of their best darts ever when taking on and beating a formidable Rising Sun side.

Nick Jones opened with a 100 against Sun’s captain Mark Williams, who only replied on 60.

Jones soon took the leg in 15 darts on double 36.

Sun’s Kevin Tolley faired no better against James Muckian, before Rob Jones’ treble 20 and double 18 out shot against Rick Lainbury gave the home side a footing in the match.

A similar story took place when Paul Welsh beat Kane Smith again Welsh also went out on a teble 20 and double 18.

Rising Sun were now looking to stretch their advantage in the doubles encounter with Jones and Tolley against Nick Jones and Dave Muckian.

Both players put a lot of effort in to the leg, Muckian hitting two 120s. Jones twice diced with the 100s, hitting 85 but his third dart on both occasions landed in the single five segment on the board. Eventually Jones took the leg on double nine.

Dave Muckian then took on Sun’s Will Knight, who started well with scores of 120, 100 , 100, in his first nine darts.

Muckian, however, faired even better and hit 120, 100, 120, leaving both throwers on out shots.

Knight needed 81 and opted for treble 15 and double 18 but missed his chance.

Hotel’s captain secured victory with treble 20 and one to secure a memorable win for his side.
