FERNDALE Ladies came from behind to draw 3-3 with Redditch in the West Midlands League Division One South on Sunday.

Despite being 2-0 down at the break, goals for Mel Zaffino, Macca McLoughlin and Kirsty Jones ensured a point.

Ferndale take on leaders Birmingham Athletic at Baxter College on Sunday (2pm kick-off).

n Mostyn Rangers powered to a 12-0 win over Pershore Town.

Victory ensured they are top of the Hereford and Worcester County League.

Kirsty Roberts bagged four goals, with Kirsty Hughes grabbing a hat-trick.

There was also two for Kat Wassell and a goal each for Mel Fowler, Julie Freeman and Tracy Evans.

n Cookley Sports Girls under-16s started their Central Warwickshire League with a 1-0 home win against Santiago Colts.

They were indebted to keeper Harry Howells for an instinctive save in the early stages of the game, before going on to dominate the play. Cookley took the lead through Ellie Richardson who was on hand to finish after Ellie Draper’s shot had crashed down from the crossbar.
