DEFENDER Duane Courtney felt new manager Steve Burr's half-time talk helped inspire them in Saturday's 2-2 draw with Crawley.

Harriers had been trailing to Charles Ademeno's goal but Harriers looked more purposeful in the second half and assistant manager John Finnigan lashed home a leveller.

Barry Cogan put the home side ahead again but spirited Harriers never gave up and Chris McPhee bagged an 86th minute leveller.

Courtney said: "It was a deserved point. We went behind twice but we showed great spirit and character to get back into the game.

"A lot of people would say we deserved to lose but I think the manager's happy.

"He told us to keep doing well, that we've got nothing to fear, keep passing the ball quickly and play like he's seen us in training.

"He told us to go out there and have confidence, get the ball don't hide and that's what we did."
