IN-FORM player/coach John Finnigan believes that Harriers' squad is strong enough to cope with a hectic end to the season and the double objective of the Blue Square Premier play-offs and FA Trophy.

Harriers entertain relegation battling Ebbsfleet tonight aiming to build on their eight-game unbeaten run.

The squad is in confident mood after Saturday's 3-0 over Histon enhanced their chances of gatecrashing the play-offs.

Currently Harriers are ninth in the table, seven points behind fifth-placed Luton, although that will change once the Football Conference expunges expelled Chester's results.

Despite the expected recalculation, Harriers look in good shape to make a late bid the play-offs.

With 14 league games left and a two-legged Trophy semi-final against Stevenage to be crammed in before the end of April, Harriers' squad is set to be tested.

However, with the likes of James Lawrie, Marc Goodfellow, Jasbir Singh and Marc Goodfellow on the bench against Histon, as well as Kyle Hadley and Nathan Hayward also awaiting for their chances, Finnigan feels they have the ability to cope with a busy end to the campaign.

He said: "We've got lads who didn't even make it to the bench who can make a difference in Kyle Hadley and Nathan Hayward, who has done well for an 18-year-old.

"It shows we've got a little bit of strength now and we believe we can do something.

"Sometimes when you're holding onto something and looking over your shoulder teams can get edgy.

"We're full of confidence and chasing something and want to get as high as we can.

"Week-by-week we can edge closer, we're not making any wild statements saying we're going to make it, but we've got a lot of belief in the camp at the minute and if that could run through until the end of the season in the league, then we'll be more than happy."

Lawrie is not available for tonight's clash because he in on International duty with Northern Ireland's under-21s at San Marino, but new loan signing Adam Boyes is available.

Gavin Caines is a doubt after being substituted on Saturday as he copes with Achilles tedonitis, while Brian Smikle and Robbie Matthews will have knocks assessed.

Fleet will be eager to bounce back after their 4-1 home loss to Barrow in the league on Saturday. Liam Daish's side have won their three away games.
