WYRE Forest Company of Archers member Jasmine Simpson won a clutch of trophies and set three new Worcestershire county archery records while competing in her first clout tournament at Eagle Bowmen in Penrith.

The competition involved shooting six dozen arrows at a scoring zone marked on the ground.

In the double one-way 75 metre round, Simpson won both the under-14s girl and overall awards, followed by a similar achievement in the double two-way 80 yard round.

The nine-year-old is a pupil at Lickhill Primary School and is the youngest member of the club.
