Wyre Forest CRC riders were in dominant form for their home round of the Midland SPOCO time-trial championship.
The event covered 28 miles over two laps of the Astley course near Stourport.
Wyre Forest’s Aaron McCulloch was the first rider off in the one-lap race, finishing seventh in 43 minutes 21 seconds.
In the championship event, Chris Morris was the fastest home rider finishing fourth in 1.08.16 and overtaking a tiring Andy Convery (sixth, 1.08.30) in the closing miles.
Together with Phil Hunt (10th, 1.10.53) Wyre Forest were the winners of the team prize.
Next came Paul Darby in his first race of the year (11th, 1.11.38), Adrian Manning (20th, 1.15.19) David Briggs (22nd, 1.17.40) and Paul Crook (27th, 1.22.23).
These results have consolidated Morris, Hunt and Convery’s positions at the top of the championship.
Meanwhile, Dave Wood recorded an excellent time of 22.39 at the Ystwyth CC 10-mile time-trial to finish 13th.
