Carroll puts in good performance in Wombourne

TRIATHLON: Members of Kidderminster and Stourport’s triathlon club (TRiKS) competed at Wombourne Sprint.

Competitors had to tackle a 400-metre swim, 20-kilometre bike ride and 5km run.

In his debut triathlon, John Carroll put in a competitive performance to finish 45th in one hour, six minutes 11 seconds and overhauled team-mate Tony Muir (46th 1.06.11).

Simon Humphries also competed solidly to finish 76th in 1.10.21. There were 225 finishers.
