ST AMBROSE B managed to retain their position at the top of Division One of the Kidderminster and District Midweek Bowling League, despite a 13 points home loss Franche B.

Stourport B’s 33-shot home win over St John’s Tomk guaranteed them second-place in the table.

In Division Two, St John’s C had a narrow five shot victory against Wolverley B on their home green, while Cookley A assured their lead in Division Three with a mighty 42-shot home win over Oldington C.

Similarly in Division Four, Kinver C had a magnificent 42 points victory over SW Warriors while Cookley D had an amazing 55 chalks win against The Nomads.

In the Thursday Afternoon League, Kinver A jumped to the top of the first division with a 17 points home success over against Franche A.

And it was an exciting game at the Crowther Street green, with Bewdley A walking away with a two-shot victory.

Bewdley walked away with a narrrow three points win at Wolverley B in Division Two.

There were some exciting games in the Logans Cup first round.

Kinver narrowly lost out to Bewdley C by five shots, Cookley A had a close game at Franche, with a four points lead over St John’s C guaranteeing them a place in the second round.
