Thorley does well at Uni Champs

TRIATHLON: TRiKS (Triathlon Kidderminster and Stourport) member Alex Thorley competed at the British University Sprint Triathlon Championships held in Wiltshire and finished in an impressive sixth place overall.

This performance put him in contention with some of the most promising junior triathletes in the country.

Four members of TRiKS competed at the Lichfield Sprint event, which saw competitors tackle a 400 metres swim, 20 kilometre bike ride and 5km run.

John Carroll had an excellent result to place 21st and finished in one hour, eight minutes 34 seconds.

Phil Taylor won his age group finishing 56th in 1.21.03, while Adrian Sabel and Alex Nicol also had good performances with times of 1.24.32 and 1.28.46 respectively.
