KIDDERMINSTER’S Joe Harper was in brilliant form as he won the men’s stableford Division One at Cleobury Mortimer.

Harper blew the competition out of the water with a score of 43 points. A five over par gross included a feast of birdies and to see Harper ever closer to his career goal of being a single figure golfer.

He said: “I wasn’t going to play in the competition today and just practice, thank god I did, it was just one of those days when everything fell into place, I hope there will be more of them soon.”

Gordon Moriarty picked up the Division Two title with a great score of 39 points, the ever-consistent Andrew Johnson once again was on form with 39 points in Division One to take second place. This would of normally been good enough if it wasn’t for the in-form Harper.

Meanwhile, at Kidderminster GC , Kevin Woodham had a hole-in-one on the 15th.
