Well the season may be slowing down but with only the Under 17 having finished their games, there was plenty of action for Phoenix this weekend. The climax of the weekend was the Ladies winning the League Cup at Stourport Swifts.

What a mixed bag of results for Wyre Forest Phoenix This weekend. The cup games (two finals and a semi final) saw the Phoenix fall, whereas points were gained from all league games either through a draw or win.

This was the busiest weekend for a long time for the club. Almost all teams were playing and the double header games continue. The Under 10 got a long overdue win, the Under 17 had to play on a Sunday morning and the Ladies added to the silverware when they won their first of three cup finals.

Saturday 23nd February 2013 This week saw again only the youth teams play, but two of the teams played Double headers following the bad weather but there more points up for grabs.

Wyre Forest Phoenix have come a lone way since their start just ten mnths ago, but with our progress comes extra pressure on our existing volunteers. We are continually working on the advancement of the club and find that with our growth, and recently awarded Chartered development status we find ourselves needing some new volunteers to continue what has started so successfully, and to help spread the burden. As we finish our first season we are looking to recruit :

After the weather predictions at the start of the week it was a true Spring morning when Saturday morning arrived. However only two of the three scheduled games took place when the Under 13 games was cancelled early Saturday morning by the opposition.

What a fantastic week of achievements for the newly formed Wyre Forest Phoenix club this week. Following last week's Ladies win the Hereford and Worcester County League presented the team with the League Champions cup at the Three Crowns and Sugar Loaf on Sunday afternoon. The club can also take pride in the fact within less than 10 months of starting the Club have been approved as a Chartered Development Club after receiving the confirmation letter this week. This is true recognition of the progress and visions that this club has, and provides and even stronger platform on which the club can grow.

This weekend saw some challenging and rewarding games for the girls. The highlight of this weekend was the Ladies game on Sunday when their win made them this seasons league champions.

The Ladies remain unbeaten this season after their game on Sunday, and whilst the other games played were close affairs the Under 16 romped home with a 13-0 win at home.

Being half term week there were few scheduled games this weekend. However the games played were good entertaining games, and the Ladies continued in their unbeaten run.
