The pattern of play was much the same in the second half with Barrow defending stubbornly and Harriers failing to find the killer pass that would unlock the visitors tight defence.
The home side had a lucky let-off in the 71st minute when Lewis only half-stopped McConville’s powerful effort and Gowling got back to scoop the ball off the home goal line.
Two minutes later Burr took off goalscorer Rowe and sent on Malbon in the hope Harriers could force a way through the Barrow back line.
