HARRIERS boss Steve Burr felt his side avoided a potential FA Cup shock after their 1-1 draw at Skrill North side Bradford Park Avenue.

Jack Byrne's equaliser had cancelled out Alex Davidson's brilliant opener for the home side.

While the Carpetmen edged a close second half, Byrne, Joe Lolley and Anthony Malbon all had chances, a draw was a fair result.

Bradford felt they had a good call for a penalty ignored on, while keeper Danny Lewis denied Davidson.

The game was marred by driving rain and strong winds, while the pitch hampered Harriers' passing style.

Burr said: "That was the toughest 90 minutes we've had and I did not expect any thing less to be honest.

"The whole day had upset written all over it with the conditions.

"I congratulated our lads for sticking at it and we move on to have another crack at it on Tuesday night.

"It will be another tough 90 minutes I am sure."

The game at Aggborough kicks-off at 7.45pm on Tuesday night.

Awaiting the winners are either Southern League Hemel Hempstead or Skrill South Sutton United, who drew 3-3 yesterday.  The replay at Sutton is also Tuesday night, with the first round match scheduled for either November 9 or 10.
