STEVE Burr was furious after Harriers suffered a 6-0 thrashing at promotion rivals Luton at Kenilworth Road.

The Carpetmen suffered a fourth defeat in five Skrill Premier games after another leaky display at the back.

They had been more than a match for the Hatters, who boasted an unbeaten record at home this season.

Keeper Mark Tyler produced good saves to deny Joe Lolley twice and Jack Byrne but Harriers trailed to Luke Guttridge's 27th minute strike.

Paul Benson's 52nd minute header had doubled Luton's advantage but the game's turning point came four later when Chey Dunkley was shown a straight red card for bringing Benson down.

Jake Howells hammered home the spot kick before adding another in the 70th.

Guttridge and Scott Griffiths ensured Harriers' biggest lesgue defeat in living memory with late strikes.

"I am very angry about the result," said Harriers' manager.

"It is hard enough to come to Luton without going down to ten men.

"I thought in the first half we had a few chances and Mark Tyler made some good saves.

"We were in the game but again we conceded and didn't defend balls into our box.

"Losing Chey and then going 3-0 down to the penalty it was always going to be very tough for us.

"It looked like Chey took Benson down but again we weren't quick enough to react to a situation."

Dunkley is now suspended for their New Year's Day trip to Hereford (3pm ko).
