HARRIERS fans’ team battled out a 1-1 draw against Salisbury on Saturday.
As normal with home games, Harriers had the luxury of picking from a healthy squad of 19 players.
The first half team though started poorly and continued throughout the half on a bobbly pitch.
The youthful visitors held the hosts at bay with chances at a premium.
With eight changes at half-time, including the introduction of debutant Karl Davies, the home side started strongly and soon took the lead through a dubious penalty.
Sean Merryweather dispatched it in well in the corner to make it 1-0.
However, Salisbury soon levelled after the defence was outpaced as the forward finished well past Mark Connolly.
The hosts had a few chances but couldn’t find the winner with a draw probably being the fair result.
Man of the match was awarded to Mark Young for a typical battling display.
The team’s next fixture is a clash against Aldershot’s supporters’ team on Saturday.
