FORMER Leicester City midfielder Aman Verma has bolstered Harriers' midfield options after joining on a non-contract basis.

The 27 year-old, who had a loan spell with Harriers back in 2010, is a graduate of the Leicester City academy and, after spending time in non-league with the likes of Bedworth and Redditch, returned to the Foxes in 2009.

It was whilst with the Championship side that Verma briefly spent time out at Aggborough, with further loan stints at Histon and Darlington further boosting his experience of this level of football.

After leaving Leicester in 2011, Verma would later spend the 2012-13 season overseas, playing in the Maltese Premier League with Floriana.

He moved back to England to sign for Stockport County this past summer but after a change of management there he joined Corby Town on loan, impressing there enough to make the move permanent.

He’d been with the Steelmen since November of last year and is regarded as one of their most influential players, netting seven goals from his position at the point of their midfield, though he is also comfortable playing up front.

He left there with a goal in his final game last weekend against Stourbridge and put pen to paper on a non-contract deal after talks with Harriers during this week.
