HARRIERS boss Gary Whild says he has not been able to strengthen Harriers’ squad before the registration deadline.

Whild and coaches Tim Flowers and Mark Creighton had been hoping to bring in one or two players to strengthen Kidderminster’s playing options in the race for the Skrill Premier play-offs.

Despite identifying targets, they were not able to bring anyone else in.

“It’s been a little bit frustrating because we did want to bring one or two in to try and help the lads who are here,” said the manager.

“But I suppose it speaks volumes for the ones who are here that we haven’t been able to get somebody in who is going to be better than what we’ve got – I’ve always touched on that because that’s important.

“That player has been hard to find and we haven’t been able to do anything.

“You don’t want to insult the lads who’re in the dressing room and somebody coming in would have to make a difference.

“At the moment, while we’ve been able to identify one or two of those, they’re hard to get and we haven’t been able to nail it down.”

Whild confirmed that skipper Kyle Storer and winger Adrian Cieslewicz had both trained on Thursday afternoon as they close in on potential returns this weekend at Salisbury.
