HARRIERS have ended their search for a new right-back after drafting in former Forest Green Rovers defender Jared Hodgkiss.

The 27-year-old put pen to paper on a one year deal on Monday.

He fills the gap left by Lee Vaughan, who joined Cheltenham Town this summer.

Hodgkiss, was born in Stafford and began his career with Wolves and West Brom, moves back closer to home after a number of successful seasons with Rovers.

Signing for The New Lawn outfit in 2009, he went on to make almost 170 appearances for them including a spell as skipper.

Established as one of the division's strongest full-backs, he is most comfortable playing on the right but can also feature on the left.

"We're delighted to get him on board," commented managee Gary Whild.

"It's great to have somebody with his experience and he definitely fits the bill."
