IT will be a case of the defensively solid against the decidedly leaky when Harriers tackle bottom of the table Telford United in their first derby of the season in the Vanarama Conference tomorrow.

Gary Whild's side boast an impressive record when it comes to shutting out the opposition, boasting the third best defence in the league.

They have only conceded four goals at their Aggborough fortress in six games and will be aiming to bounce back from Tuesday''s 1-0 loss at Wrexham.

In contrast, Liam Watson's newly-promoted side have the leakiest backline in the league, letting in 35 goals in their first 13 matches.

The prospect of playing against such a generous defence will only whet the appetite of strikers Reece Styche and Michael Gash.

They looked dangerous and scored in last weekend's 3-2 win in Woking but were frustrated in North Wales during mid-week.

"I think we're starting to see the best of Michael Gash now, he's getting back to the level he was playing at when we signed him," said Whild.

"Reece is also looking a handful for oppositions defenders, he's looked sharp in the last few games."

Harriers' rivals are among the highest scorers in the bottom half of the table, with midfielder Mike Phenix leading their goal charts with four, but have struggled to find the back of the net away from New Bucks Head with just six goals in five matches.

The Bucks return with former Kidderminster winger Sean Clancy among their ranks, while Watson was also hoping to bolster his defensive options ahead of tomorrow's clash.
