GARY Whild has hailed the form of versatile attacker Aman Verma.

The 26-year-old has produced a series of impressive displays for Kidderminster Harriers over the last few weeks.

A stunning 35-yard blockbuster against Wrexham as well as eye-catching displays against Grimsby and Nuneaton, where he set up Jack Byrne’s goal, have seen him hit top form.

The former Leicester City academy youngster has found a new lease of life after been switched up front after Nathan Blissett’s move to Bristol Rovers .

"Aman’s been outstanding. He was excellent at Grimsby and did well against Wrexham,” said Whild.

"He epitomises the character in the squad and the together and he's prepared to go and do what you ask of him.

"His lay off and composure for Jack's goal was exceptional.

“I knew a lot what Aman is capable of when he went from Redditch to Leicester and I am glad the fans are starting to see what a valuable player he is."

Meanwhile, Whild confirmed that on-loan Oxford United defender Sam Long is still available to play for Harriers if needed.

Long has made only one appearance on the bench as an unused substitute so far.

The Reds have also brought in Jordan Tunnicliffe from Sutton Coldfield until the end of the season.

The manager commented: "Sam's still with us. Unfortunately, we didn't realise he is not available in terms of driving and he comes from Bicester on the train.

"To be fair to the lad we didn't want to drag him over when we don't need him.

"If we do need him we can call him in but at the moment we are trying to make do with what we've got.

"But it was a nice gesture from Oxford to help us out."
