GARY Whild hailed the impact of match-winner Ahmed Obeng after his goal-scoring exploits again Lincoln City yesterday.
The 23-year-old capped a fine super-sub display by bagging a 92 minute winner which stunned ten man City.
The strike, Obeng’s first since becoming a full-time professional footballer in the summer, sealed a determined comeback by Kidderminster.
Harriers’ rivals had been reduced to ten men when skipper Alan Power was dismissed for a challenge on Jack Byrne.
But the Imps rallied and took the lead when Delano Sam-Yorke headed home.
Harriers rallied and Marvin Johnson bagged his seventh goal of the season with a superb left-footed strike in the 51st minute.
Obeng then came off the bench and smashed a right-footed effort past keeper Paul Farman to make it three wins in a row for the Reds Of Obeng, who joined Harriers from Rushall Olympic, Whild said: "I am delighted for Ahmed because like a lot of the lads at the club he comes in with a smile on his face.
"He works hard and has had a couple of little situations and hit the post a few times, so it was good to see him finish so well."
Victory means Harriers are seventh in the Vanarama Conference and just two points off the play-off spots.
Kidderminster now face Forest Green Rovers away on Boxing Day (1pm ko).
Whild added: "Lincoln responded to going down to ten men better than us.
"They got a good goal and it is difficult to try and break down the men.
"The pitch is looking a bit tired, it has games on it week-in and week-out, I just thought we kept plugging away and won it with a good finish."
