DANNY Lewis has one message for demoralised Harriers are they look to end their winless run against Dover tomorrow - 'you make your own luck'.

The goalkeeper concedes that confidence is low at Aggborough after seven games without a victory but has said the senior players are determined to end the season well.

Assistant manager Mark Creighton criticised the senior players after Tuesday night's 3-1 home loss to Eastleigh.

The Reds have eight games of the season left and while they have little to play for on the pitch, with the bulk of the squad out of contract, Lewis feels there is plenty of reasons to impress.

He said: "It was ten minutes of madness against Eastleigh, we haven't won for a while and confidence is low.

"We're not getting any luck at all at the moment and you go through periods when things aren't going your way.

"But the players have all had a chat and the truth is you make your own luck.

"I didn't hear what Mark said but we all saw the headlines.

"I know the gaffer is planning to use some of the younger lads but you also need the senior players to help them through.

"We may be mid-table but there is an awful lot to be played for, most of the squad is out of contract in the summer, so we're playing for contracts.

"Kidderminster is a great club and if you leave here then there might only be one place to go and that's part-time football."

Harriers' opponents are also on a poor run of form and the hosts will be looking to record their first home win since December 20.

Whild has said to look at using some of the club's younger players, such as academy product Luke Maxwell.
