HARRIERS chairman Rod Brown says he's been pleasantly surprised by the number of early season tickets sold and has urged fans not to miss out.

Over 250 tickets have been sold but with the deadline Friday, June 5, there is still time for supporters to purchase them.

Brown was named chairman at the end of last season by the major shareholders, tasked with the remit to maximise the club's commercial ability and help it recover from a turbulent 12 months affected by cashflow problems.

He said: "I have been pleased with the number of early bird season tickets which have been sold at this stage.

"Two hundred and 50 is very promising and if we could get 600 plus season tickets overall it would be fantastic.

"We have made changes to our commercial side and it is important to generate revenue and selling season tickets is a big part of that.

"With the budget constraints Gary Whild is working with, every ticket sold will allow us to help him."

As part of the restructuring behind the scenes, John Roberts has been brought in as business development manager and well-known fan Dave Pountney as commercial manager. Both will work alongside club administrator Helen MacDonald.

As part of the earlybird deal, under-8s are free if they join the junior supporters club, while under-16s pay just £40 if they also sign up to the scheme.

A discounted season ticket for students and young adults (aged between 16 and 18) in the North Stand costs just £100, which works out as £4 a game.

Supporters can pay in full or spread the cost over three months at no extra charge if they purchase a ticket before June 5.
