COLIN Gordon rued missed chances after Harriers’ disappointing 1-1 draw against fellow strugglers Boreham Wood.

Kidderminster had taken the lead through new signing Zaine Francis-Angol and created several scoring chances, with Tahvon Campbell twice denied by keeper James Russell.

But as the game wore on, Kidderminster’s nerves increased and Connor Clifford hammered home an emphatic free-kick.

Gordon said: "I thought we should have put the game to bed. We've been saying all along that the position we are in we haven't got the 20 goal striker we need and that's the difference.

"In the first half we pressed the ball all over and at 1-0 we really need to go and finish the two or three chances we created.

"When got in behind we made poor chances, we tried to shoot instead of finding a team-mate.

"You could see the nervousness through the team and when you need ice in the veins the blood is boiling.

"That's where we are, if we had more experience in the front line with the chances we created we'd have more goals.

"The nervousness goes if we take our chances and give ourselves a cushion."

Harriers remain bottom of the Vanarama National League on seven points. They go to Macclesfield Town on Saturday (12.30pm ko).
