DAVE Hockaday is going back to basics in a bid to return Harriers to winning ways.

The new head coach takes charge of his second game when Kidderminster go to fellow strugglers Altrincham tonight (7.45pm ko).

The Reds are bottom of the Vanarama National League and have not won in 16 games this season.

He said: “Altrincham is a tough place to go – but every team is better than us at the moment because we’re up at the bottom of the league.

“We haven’t won a game and every game is going to be entirely different, but extremely difficult.

“Once we crack it – and we will – and we start getting a bit of momentum, we’ll see what can happen.

“But at the moment my aim is to get the basics nailed and to start showing the boys that they are not as poorly-off as people are making out, that we do have things to offer and that we need to start building.”

Tahvon Campbell is a doubt for the game but Gurjit Singh is pushing for a return after two weeks out of action because of injury.

The Shuttle will have an online report after the game.
