DEAN Snedker believes Harriers players are ready for the challenge when they take on Stourbridge in tomorrow's highly-anticipated FA Cup fourth qualifying clash.

The goalkeeper expects the Glassboys, who play two levels below Kiddy in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier, to test their defensive resolve with an aerial bombardment.

In recent weeks, the Reds have proven to be leaky when it comes to set-pieces but produced a more solid display in last week's loss to Southport.

Stourbridge boast experienced goal-getters Justin Richards and Karl Hawley, who collectively have played over 600 games in the Football Conference and Football League, and the duo have currently bagged 15 goals between them so far this season.

Head coach Dave Hockaday has had a free week to work with his players and has been drilling them hard.

"The training has definitely been harder this week, we've been conceding goals late on so we've had to get fitter,” said Snedker.

"But there's a definite buzz around the club about this game and as players we feel it and want to respond.

"We know we've got to start winning games soon, so this is a must-win match for us."

He added: "We always do our homework on the opposition and Stourbridge are the sort of side who like to get balls into the box at every opportunity and we've worked on that.

"We've had problems from set pieces but it’s important at our level not to concede from corners and free-kicks."

Jordan Jones and Gurjit Singh may well be pushing for a start after returning to training this week from injury.

Harriers' loan players have all been given permission to play in the cup but there was disappointment for former Stourbridge youth team player Jordan Murphy, who has not been given clearance by parent club Walsall to play in the competition.

West Bromwich winger Tahvon Campbell has also returned to his parent club.

Meanwhile, Stourbridge attacker Ben Billingham starts a three-match suspension following a sending off against Colwyn Bay earlier in the month.
