HARRIERS have given themselves a double boost ahead of tonight's clash in Chester with two new signings.

Striker George Obosu and winger James McQuilkin had joined the Aggborough outfit.

Bustling teenage striker Obosu has enjoyed the last few weeks training at Aggborough, scoring a number of goals in closed-doors fixtures and catching the eye in training.

The 18 year-old, who is from Ghana, has signed a deal with Harriers until the end of January and has received clearance in time to feature against Chester this evening.

Winger McQuilkin starts his second spell at Aggborough after signing non-contract terms – the hard-working 26 year-old wide-man had a short loan spell here in 2011-12 while at Hereford United, since going on to feature for Walsall and Torquay United.

Head coach Hockaday said: “George has been with us for well over a month now and is just getting better and better.

“He is one for the future but, with George, that future may be just around the corner; he’s a talented player that we think has a lot of potential.

“James has experience of this level but is also very hungry and has looked very bright in training and the friendly games he’s played in – we’re really happy to be working with him.”

Both players featured in Friday night’s friendly draw with Birmingham U21s and go in to the squad for tonight.
